Finally, the much-awaited scheme which is known as the Captain Smart Connect Scheme has finally given the green flag by the Punjab Government on 2 January 2019.

My Government is all set to provide free smartphones to the youth under Captain Free Smartphone Scheme Mr. Amarinder Singh added during the meeting. There will be 50 lakh phones which will be distributed among students. The total budget for this scheme will be around 72 lakhs.

UPDATE — Free smartphones will be distributed among 11th, 12th girls students by the month Of December. The responsibility of distributing free smartphones to the students will be given to the vendor by the Punjab government, who will be selected by the officials through bidding.

Captain Smart Connect Scheme

This yojana will be divided into two phases. In the first phase of Captain Free Smartphone Distribution Scheme,  11th, 12th school girls will receive smartphones.

The government will start the online registration soon Captain Free Smartphone Scheme but till now there is no confirmation regarding online registration.

Each beneficiary will receive free talk time for 1 year.

Along with the phone, you will also be given internet pack having the validity of 1 whole year.

This scheme will help youth to connect with the digital world.

Captain Smart Connect Scheme Online Registration

You will be notified as soon as the government starts the registration process for free Punjab smartphone distribution scheme. Until then you will have to wait for the registration process.

NOTE — There is no statement given by department yet regarding the online-offline application filling procedure. We will update it to you shortly.

How To Check Captain Smartphone Scheme Status

After the successful registration, you will receive a registration number.

You have to type that registration number in the check status link at the official website.

NOTE — We will upload the link as soon as the government starts this scheme officially.
